Anya preparing for a live

ABOUT ME

Anya is a classically trained, accomplished pianist whose passionate temperament is a trademark and has led her to develop a unique, energy-infused style that reflects her diverse musical tastes. She never fails to capture the hearts of international audiences.

First steps TO Explorations

After her education at the « Josip Slavenski » music school in Novi Sad, in her native Serbia, Anya moved to Paris in 2006 where she began her studies at the Conservatoire de Paris, and the Boulogne Billancourt Conservatory in 2007. She continued her musical development at the Amsterdam Conservatory under the tutelage of Naum Grubert in 2010. It is here where she formed a deep fascination with the music of Rachmaninoff and Scriabin. After additional training at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, she pursued a Masters in Musicology at the Sorbonne University from 2014 to 2016.

In parallel with her classical training, Anya has explored other musical horizons thanks to the abundance of international influences found in Paris. She has fused her own rhythmic Balkan style with traditions in African, Arab, Caucasian and Latin American music. Thanks to her Senegalese and Ivorian colleagues, she has become enamoured with djembe, calimba and other percussion instruments. Other elements she is incorporating into her music stem from samba and Armenian rhythms among others.

International Career

Anya has performed regularly as a concert pianist on major stages in Europe, the United States, Asia as well as Latin America. One highlight was performing at the White House in Washington, D.C. for a Centennial Commemoration honouring Serbia.

Anya has recently been contracted by the French brand HERMES to play various concerts including at the Grand Palais in Paris and in Taipei for the Hermes showcase.
Her first single has recently been released and is officially available on all music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Deezer, Google Play.

She is currently working on her first album which will see her collaborate with composers from around the world. The album will highlight Anja’s love of various musical genres including minimalism, classical, jazz and world music.
